The CesArts Events association was created in 1992 to organize and produce shows and cultural actions.
The FIGRA has existed for 27 years in the HAUTS-DE-FRANCE. It was held at Touquet-Paris-Plage from 1993 to 1997, then in Lille from 1998 to 2000. It returned to Le Touquet in 2002 until 2017 when, for reasons of renovation of the Palais des Congrès in Touquet, the FIGRA was hosted in Saint-Omer in 2018 and 2019, on the territory of the Pays de Saint-Omer. In March 2020 the work is completed. The city of Le Touquet decides to open the doors of the new Palais des Congrès with the 27th edition of FIGRA. On July 29, 2020, the mayor of Le Touquet announces that the city will no longer host FIGRA.
The 28th edition will take place in DOUAI (59) from September 29 to October 3, 2021.
The main objective of FIGRA is to promote the Big News Report and the Documentary of Society, media of knowledge, information, essential and irreplaceable for quality television. Since its origins, the Festival has offered a diversified program around television, cinema, photography, books, live performances; without forgetting the meetings, the debates between the public and the professionals.
The audiovisual, press and communication world is present to follow and enrich this major audiovisual event around a motto:
“Understanding the world, to better understand each other”
Film directors, journalists, reporters and documentary filmmakers are invited to attend this event.
The FIGRA, an international reporting and documentary festival, will be hosting its 28th edition in Douai, Sept. 29 to Oct. 3.
During five days, participants will be able to discover 77 selected films, attend various debates, exhibitions and panels or take part in a cultural workshop dedicated to media education.
The week pass costs EUR45 and the day pass EUR17. A reduced rate of EUR10 is available for students, job seekers and beneficiaries of the “Pass Culture Région.”
